Home Builder, Roofing Company, Flooring Contractor – Comparing Websites
If a home builder, a roofer and a flooring contractor wanted to compare their new websites, what would they be discussing as the most important and succesful strategies for success? Would it be search engine ranking, staying sticky, creating unique content, or “calls-to-action” connecting potential customers with the sales team?
Businesses are finding it more important than ever to have a new website that has all the bells and whistles available. Mobile, security and speed have all risen to the forefront of importance in the recent year. Depending on the client’s audience and the goals for each website, great care must be taken when developing the content (photos, videos, copy, headlines and keywords) and the meta data to ensure the site is ranked and the information is easy to find.
At John Rod and Co., we have found a substantial increase in new websites we are developing and managing year over year. In this blog we will examine three websites and take a deeper dive into some of the components which help make them look great, rank higher, and successfully engage the target audience. We also invite you to click on the links and explore some of the content we have created with each client.
A FLOORING COMPANY – Direct Flooring, Flemington, NJ – For this project, our main goal was to creating dynamic content. To elevate the company’s visual status and ranking status we directed a three-day photo shoot/video to capture projects and the corporate office and team.
– Created a library of dynamic photography and Youtube Channel
– Focus on company, team, trucks, installation crews, people!
– Keyword evaluation for content
– Created social channels with a continuous blogging and posting strategy
A Home Building Firm – Marlboro, New Jersey – Successfully developing and building homes in Monmouth County, NJ and NY for many years, Ronique Homes’ main goal was to connect all the various community websites and create a corporate website to add credibility for customers and financial institutions. Our main goals were:
– Photography and video library of model homes – for social/website
– Telling the story of the developers – credibility
– Showcasing the various communities of the builder – and portfolio
– Creating new avenues to connect buyers and sales staff
A Roofing and Construction Company, Manalapan, NJ – Creating a website for a company who has found success in Central New Jersey started with creating various pages for each of the individual services the clients offered. Then, we broke down each service and detailed specific services with photography and keywords. The main Goal was to:
– Leverage the brand names (GAF and Owens Corning) being used by the company
– Showcase the 5-Star reviews from various websites
– Tell the story of a Family run business that is 32 years old……..BRAVO!
– Evaluating the competition and “keeping pace” in form and function.
Every client is different. Every project is unique. I would imagine if these three awesome clients of ours were sitting in a bar discussing their websites and comparing notes, they would all speak well about the experience they had with our development team and possibly reflect on how their eyes may have opened as it relates to their competition. We are excited about the websites we have launched and the ones we are currently working on which are slated to be unveiled over the summer.
